Atlantic-Pacific Capital, an independent placement agent for alternative investment funds and direct private placements, has announced the final closing of Clearview Capital Fund II last month.
Clearview Capital’s first institutional private equity fund, it focuses on control-oriented equity investments in established lower middle-market companies in the US and Canada. Atlantic-Pacific Capital was exclusive global placement agent for the fund, which closed with USD250m in capital commitments, exceeding its target of USD200m.

The fund has already completed three platform and three add-on investments representing some USD42m and Clearview expects to maintain an aggressive investment pace. Its portfolio currently consists of Hettinger Welding, a provider of pipeline and facilities construction and maintenance services for natural gas infrastructure, Rowmark, a manufacturer of specialty plastic sheet and related products for the awards/recognition, engraving and signage markets, and Air Cooled Exchangers, a manufacturer of air-cooled heat exchangers used to cool gases and liquids in various industrial applications.
Founded in 1999, Clearview Capital specialises in the acquisition and recapitalisation of North American manufacturing and service companies with operating profit ranging between USD4m and USD20m. As a team, the firm’s principals have invested in 10 platform companies and completed numerous add-on acquisitions. In aggregate, Clearview’s current portfolio has sales of more than USD500m and operating profits in excess of USD100m.
