Leisure specialist Ian Edward has been appointed as a Senior Adviser at corporate finance firm Clearwater International.
Edward brings over 30 years’ experience in the leisure industry, as M&A adviser, Non-Executive Board Director and investor. His previous transactions include the sale of New World Trading Company to Graphite Capital, the sale of Geronimo Inns to Young’s, and the sale of a stake in Pho to Livingbridge. He is a co-founder of Hippo Inns and a Non-Executive Director of Pizza Pilgrims, Seafood Pub Company and Thunderbird Fried Chicken.
Clearwater International’s consumer team saw a 15 per cent increase in completed deals in 2018, with a total deal value of EUR1.3 billion. These included advising Pizza Hut on its MBO supported by Pricoa Capital Group and advising Social Entertainment Ventures on its recent equity fundraise.
