MSCI acquires private assets data specialist Burgiss

MSCI, a provider of decision support tools and services for the global investment community, is to acquire the remaining 66% of The Burgiss Group, a provider of data, analytics, and technology solutions for investors in private assets, for $697m in cash. 

HSBC adds to PE coverage team in Hong Kong

HSBC has bolstered its private equity team in Hong Kong with the addition of Jonathan Au-Yeung to the the bank’s financial sponsors coverage group in the region, according to a report by eFinancial Careers. Au-Yeung joins HSBC after more the 13 years with Australian bank ANZ.
