Astorg VIII reaches €4bn at interim close

Astorg has held an interim closing of its its flagship fund, Astorg VIII, with total fund commitments of €4bn, which represents about 90% of the target size and hard cap of €4.5bn, and a nearly 10% increase on Astorg’s predecessor fund. 

PE lagging on climate action, says new study

A new assessment of the fossil fuel policies of 15 of the largest private equity firms operating in North America and Europe, has found that the sector is lagging behind other investors in terms of action on climate change.

Carlyle acquires UK vehicle finance platform Evolution Funding

Global investment firm Carlyle has agreed to acquire Evolution Funding (Evolution), one of the UK’s largest used car finance platforms, investing alongside Evolution’s founders and existing investor LDC. The terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

LLCP sells SK AeroSafety

Los Angeles-based private equity firm Levine Leichtman Capital Partners has sold its portfolio company SK AeroSafety to Bridgepoint, a global private equity firm. Financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

Agilitas exits Hydro International to Oldcastle Infrastructure

Pan-European mid-market private equity firm Agilitas has completed the sale of Hydro International, a provider of technological solutions for the control, storage and quality management of wastewater, stormwater and industrial process water, to Oldcastle Infrastructure. 

Rcapital acquires UK-based Temple Lifts from Hitachi

Private investor Rcapital, has completed its second carve out deal of 2023 with the acquisition of Temple Lifts from Hitachi. Temple, which has over 35 years’ experience in the lift maintenance sector, was acquired by Hitachi in 2017.
