Corporate partner Matthew Elliott joins London office of Kirkland & Ellis

Kirkland & Ellis International has appointed Matthew Elliott as a partnerin the corporate practice group based in the firm’s London office.

“Matt joins us as one of the top attorneys in his market,” says Jeffrey C Hammes, Chairman of Kirkland’s Global Management Executive Committee. “His joining is a reflection of our commitment to broadening our strong transactional offering in London. Matt is our first partner in Europe with significant experience in private equity real estate, together with substantial experience in a wide variety of other corporate transactions. Elliott will join Kirkland from the financial sponsor group of Linklaters’ London office, where he heads the M&A real estate sector team. He has experience in advising a full range of stakeholders across public and private corporate transactions.  

Elliott holds degrees from the College of Law, Guildford and St. Edmund Hall, Oxford University. He has been recognised as a leading private equity attorney by The Legal 500 UK.
