Council Capital adds to team

Council Capital, a healthcare-focused private equity firm based in Nashville, has announced a promotion and three new hires to support the firm’s continued growth. 

New hires include Geoff Crisanti – Value Creation Senior Associate, Harrison Johnson – Investment Associate, and Christian Ward – Chief Financial Officer. In addition, the firm promoted Paul Lagarde from Associate to Senior Associate.     

Geoff Crisanti, Value Creation Senior Associate, will be focused on providing strategic and operational support to portfolio company executive teams. Geoff was most recently with Aspire Health, where he drove strategic partnerships and led a direct-to-physician sales team. He began his career at DaVita in the enterprise strategy group. Geoff received a BS in biomedical engineering and BBA in finance from The University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.

Harrison Johnson, Investment Associate, will be focused on new investment evaluation, due diligence, and portfolio company support. Harrison joins Council Capital from Ernst & Young Capital Advisors (EYCA), where he worked in the Diversified Industrials Investment Banking group. Harrison received a BS in Finance from the Marriott School of Business at Brigham Young University.

Christian Ward, Chief Financial Officer, will lead Council’s accounting, finance, and compliance functions. Christian brings more than a decade of private equity and audit experience with previous experience from Five Points Capital, Dixon Hughes Goodman LLP, and PWC. Christian received a BS in Accounting and Finance from Florida State University and is a licensed CPA.

Grant Jackson, Managing General Partner at Council Capital, says: “We are excited to welcome Geoff, Harrison, and Christian to our team, and to announce Paul’s promotion in recognition of his contributions to the firm since joining in 2018.” Grant continued, “We look forward to leveraging our CEO Council and growing team and resources to deepen our ability to partner with and grow companies on the right side of change in healthcare.”

Council Capital is actively investing from Council Capital IV, which closed at its hard cap of $200 million as announced in November 2020.
