Court Square Capital Partners-backed GoEngineer acquires Computer Aided Technology

Court Square Capital Partners portfolio company GoEngineer, a provider of 3D design and additive manufacturing solutions, has acquired Computer Aided Technology (CATI), a product development solutions provider specialising in 3D software and 3D printing hardware.

Founded in 1992 and headquartered in Chicago, CATI is a leader in the CAD and additive manufacturing solutions space, with over 30 years of experience in product development solutions designed to deliver unique services and innovative technologies to customers.

The acquisition, which is GoEngineer’s eleventh add-on acquisition since 2013 and follows the most recent acquisition of Proto3000 in October 2021, represents the next strategic step in the company’s goal of building a national CAD and additive manufacturing platform. In addition, GoEngineer will be able to increase its footprint in the Midwest and Eastern US through CATI’s existing customer network in the region.

GoEngineer was acquired by Court Square Capital Partners in December 2021.
