Crestline Investors adds Managing Director and Portfolio Manager

Institutional alternative asset manager Crestline Investors has appointed Steven List as a Managing Director and Portfolio Manager of the firm’s Recovery Funds. He will be based at Crestline’s Fort Worth office.

“Steven joins us with over 25 years of asset management and corporate restructuring experience.  His unique skill set is a great fit to help manage Crestline’s Recovery Funds while also providing the firm a great senior resource,” says Douglas Bratton, Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer of Crestline.

List was previously a Partner at CR3 Partners, a national restructuring firm where he focused specifically on interim management, bankruptcy and M&A. Prior to that, List spent four years heading the corporate asset management group of Mount Kellett Capital Management, a USD7 billion private equity firm focused on special situations investments. He has also held a variety of senior roles at prominent firms, including five years as CFO of the Mattress Giant Corporation and three years as a Senior Manager in KPMG’s Corporate Restructuring Services unit. List received his Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting from the University of Oklahoma, and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Turnaround Professional (CTP) and Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor (CIRA).

“I’m excited to join a firm that is a recognised leader in credit and opportunistic investments.  Crestline is a great fit for me, both professionally and personally. My on the ground restructuring experience compliments a talented investment team as we strive to maximize value in our Recovery Funds, and navigate opportunities and needs across the Crestline platform” said List.
