DC Advisory Partners has appointed a third Managing Director to its Debt Advisory Group. Sergio Ronga joins the London office this week and will work alongside Jonathan Trower and Ciara O’Neill. He will be specifically responsible for providing advice on infrastructure and social service transactions.
Ronga’s fourteen year career in finance includes almost six years with Macquarie where he was a Managing Director in the debt advisory team. During this time he advised a wide range of transactions including the acquisition and refinancing of Thames Water, the acquisition financing for Southern Water and the refinancing of Moto, ESP and Tanquid.
Ronga trained as an accountant with Deloitte & Touche in Johannesberg and New York before transferring to London to work at RBS, Deutsche Bank and finally Macquarie.
Jonathan Trower, Managing Director of the Debt Advisory Group, says: “Sergio joins DC at a time when there is high demand for tailored, independent debt advice caused by the challenges of the current economic environment. There are also numerous infrastructure transactions which will require financing advice; with Sergio joining us we will be perfectly positioned to provide that.”
In 2011 DC’s Debt Advisory Group saw a surge in M&A transactions requiring their services; one in three of the transactions DC completed last year involved debt or restructuring advice.
