Trace3, a portfolio company of HIG Capital (HIG), has acquired Groupware Technology (Groupware) to expand its market position in Northern California and Arizona.
Through elite-engineering and a continual focus on emerging technology, both companies are committed to assist their commercial and enterprise clients, including many of the Fortune 500, in realising superior business outcomes through advanced technology solutions and services.
Headquartered in Campbell, California, Groupware serves several Fortune 500 companies well-known for complex and challenging technology deployments. The newly combined company will serve as a leading technology solutions provider in Cloud, Data Intelligence, Security, and overall Enterprise IT.
The acquisition
SICCAR has received an investment of GBP1.3 million led by specialist technology investment house, Par Equity.
Scotland-based SICCAR, previously Wallet Services, connect organisations with reliable, protected data. The investment will strengthen its product development and customer teams as the company builds on its success in two industry sectors.
SICCAR aim to empower organisations to remove friction from digital interactions with partners customers and citizens. The SICCAR platform addresses issues of data protection, consent, and accountability, using distributed ledger technology.
In high value manufacturing the SICCAR platform has enabled secure sharing of data along complex supply chains (known as industry 4.0).
Solar power producer Amarenco Groupas closed a EUR150 million investment led by Tikehau Capital, the alternative asset management and investment group.
Amarenco started a capital raising process at the beginning of the year to secure a total investment capacity of EUR3 billion to fund growth in Europe, Asia Pacific and the Middle East markets whilst maintaining Amarenco as an independent, founder-led company.
This new capital commitment a share capital increase and an equity line totalling EUR150 million. The capital raise was subscribed to by the co-founders themselves, by IDIA Capital Investissement and by Tikehau Capital through its Energy
Westhook Capital (Westhook), a Los Angeles-based private equity firm, has made an investment in RainShadow Labs (RainShadow), a full-service provider of private label manufacturing services to natural and organic personal care brands.
Since its founding in 1983, RainShadow has been the pioneer in helping independent brands, entrepreneurs, and skincare professionals custom formulate, manufacture, and launch thousands of successful personal care products into the natural and organics skincare marketplace. RainShadow offers cutting-edge product development and creative product design; technical support including packaging and label procurement; warehousing for excess product packaging, contract filling, multi-product packaging, shipping, and logistics support.

An affiliate of KSL Capital Partners has made a substantial investment in the restaurant Group Hai Hospitality. The investment will enable the group to accelerate the growth and expansion of its restaurant brands. The Hai Hospitality leadership team, including Founding Chef and Partner Tyson Cole, will remain at the helm. Financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

The Family First nursery group, backed by August Equity, has reached it’s first major growth milestone, having acquired 10 nurseries since launch. The company purchased four Little Garden Nurseries in June 2019 and has since added Prima Montessori in Gillingham, Bizzy Bees in London, Acorn Montessori in Harrow and three Headstart nurseries in Potters Bar, Enfield and Barnet.
Chairman Andy Morris has a strong track record in growing children’s nursery groups, having taken Asquith to 92 nurseries before selling to Bright Horizons. He subsequently helped grow the OAC Childcare Group in Australia from 24 nurseries to 79.

Private Equity house Key Capital Partners (KCP) has completed a GBP7 million investment into the online darts retailer, Darts Corner. This is the third investment for KCP this year and comes shortly after the exits of Sparta Global and Hallam Medical.Darts Corner was founded in 2007 by current shareholder and CEO, Wayne Taylor. The company is the market leading online provider of darts and darts accessories and sells all over the world from its headquarters in Bolton.
