BGF has exited its minority stake in Vysiion Group, a communications infrastructure and outsourced IT service provider. The business has been acquired by Exponential-e, a cloud, network and unified communications company.BGF has backed the Wiltshire-based Vysiion since 2015, following a GBP4 million investment. During this time, revenue and EBITDA have more than doubled, and the exit has delivered a strong return for all shareholders.

Odyssey Investment Partners (Odyssey) has acquired NSi Industries from Blue Sea Capital LLC. Financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed. NSi is a leading supplier of a wide variety of electrical connector, fitting, control and wire management products for construction, maintenance and repair applications. NSi’s well-known brands include Polaris insulated connectors, Bridgeport Fittings, TORK time and lighting controls and Platinum Tools connectors & tools. Alternative student transportation company, ALC Schools (ALC), has been acquired by an affiliate of Palladium Equity Partners, a private equity firm based in New York, NY. The student transportation provider, which saw record numbers in 2019 in terms of transporting special-needs, McKinney-Vento, and displaced students for school districts, says Palladium’s partnership will help support continued growth. “We’re very excited about the future of ALC with this acquisition. We chose to join with Palladium after very careful consideration, and we couldn’t be happier to be a part of their family,” says Gregg Prettyman, Chief Operating Officer for ALC.

HS Orka, an Icelandic renewable energy and utility company 50 per cent owned by Ancala Partners, has secured a USD210 million financing package with a group of leading European commercial lenders.HS Orka has also made three senior management appointments, with Tómas Már Sigurdsson joining as Chief Executive Officer, Björk Þórarinsdóttir as Chief Financial Officer and Sunna Björg Helgadóttir as Chief Technology Officer.
The new financing comprises a term loan, capex facility and a revolving credit facility. HS Orka will use the facilities to pursue attractive development projects and strengthen its position as Iceland’s leading privately owned power producer. The company
BlackRock Long Term Private Capital will become the new majority shareholder in Creed, the Paris-based multi-century old luxury fragrance company.
Creed executive Javier Ferrán will become chairman of the company’s board of directors and join as an investor. Ferrán, who has experience with niche luxury brands and in working with European family-owned businesses, assumes his responsibilities following the transaction.
He will work closely with founder Olivier Creed, who will continue as the master perfumer of the fragrance house. The partnership with Ferrán and the Creed family, including Creed’s son Erwin, is BlackRock LTPC’s first investment in Europe. Michel Dyens &

SHE Software, a global health and safety software company headquartered in Scotland, has completed a GBP7 million Series B investment led by Frog Capital from its new growth equity fund with existing investors Northern Venture Capital Trust (VCTs) Funds at Mercia Fund Management Limited also participating.The investment further validates SHE Software’s strong market position and will accelerate the growth of international operations, building on the momentum achieved over the last two years in North America. The company plans to increase headcount, expanding its talent pool by 60, including 15 new jobs announced earlier this year following funding from Scottish Enterprise.
