Circularity Capital, a specialist private equity firm supporting growth stage European SMEs in the circular economy, has led a multi-million growth funding round in ZigZag Global, a software solution for retailers to optimally manage the return, repacking and resale of products.
Circularity Capital’s investment will further accelerate the rollout of the solution to bluechip retailers.

Private equity firm Apposite Capital’s portfolio company Swanton Care and Community Ltd, a national provider of specialist residential care and supported living services for adults, has acquired Courtyard Care Ltd.
Courtyard Care operates a group of leading children’s specialist residential homes with an excellent reputation providing services for children with complex medical and mental healthcare needs.
Located in the North West of England and with a combined registration for up to 20, the settings provide specialist care for children and young adults up to 18 years old.

A Northumberland business which has found a new way to deliver superfast broadband to remote sites has secured a GBP300,000 investment from the North East Venture Fund, supported by the European Regional Development Fund and managed by Mercia Fund Managers.
Trench Networks, which is based in Blyth, has developed a device which aggregates mobile phone signals from all major networks and combines them to achieve superfast broadband speeds. Its product, Outpost, was designed with construction firms in mind, which often work on outlying sites with no existing infrastructure.

QuadSAT, a drone-enabled antenna testing company, has closed its GBP700,000 seed round, led by the Danish Growth Fund, VF with participation from Seraphim Capital and existing investors.
The investment will enable QuadSAT to bring its innovative drone platform to the satellite communications industry, initially focusing on maritime and aeronautical applications. QuadSAT’s platform uses drone technology to test and calibrate satellite and VSAT antennas autonomously, mimicking an orbiting satellite that can simulate a ship or aircraft’s motion. This method enables highly accurate testing while drastically reducing downtime.

Bain Capital Private Equity is to acquire a majority stake in Brillio, a global digital technology consulting and solutions company, to further scale its digital transformation offerings.
Brillio will continue to be led by the current management team, headed by Chief Executive Officer Raj Mamodia. Financial terms of the private transaction were not disclosed.
