Existing and new investors participating in the round include Roger Kafker, a 30-year veteran investor in the asset management space, Tao Huang, former COO of Morningstar, David Bradley, President of Huizenga Capital Management, and Vistara Capital Partners. Financial Technology Partners (FT Partners) served as exclusive strategic and financial advisor to Backstop Solutions on this transaction.

Ipsos has acquired Synthesio in a deal worth over USD50 million in cash. Founded in 2006, Synthesio is a Social Media Intelligence specialist with presence in New York, Paris, London, Singapore, and Brussels, backed by its historical shareholders: Entrepreneur Venture, Idinvest Partners and Bpifrance.
Synthesio employs 130 personnel worldwide including a large team of engineers and data scientists. It provides clients with listening solutions and audience insights to measure the impact of social and mainstream media conversations.

Inflexion Private Equity has invested in PMC Treasury (PMC), an independent provider of treasury and risk management solutions.
The transaction sees Inflexion take a substantial minority stake in the business, with management re-investing as part of the deal. The investment is being made by Inflexion Enterprise Fund IV, Inflexion’s dedicated lower mid-market fund.
Founded in 1989, PMC provides operational treasury and risk management solutions globally to corporate clients, private equity and infrastructure funds and their portfolio companies from its main offices in London, New York and Singapore. The Credit Junction, a data-driven, asset-based lender for small and mid-sized businesses, has secured a USD23 million growth equity investment from Century Equity Partners (Century).
Century focuses on making investments in lower middle market companies that have demonstrated value propositions to the financial services industry. This investment provides The Credit Junction with growth capital to expand its ability to provide financing solutions to Supply Chain America, as well as commercialise its proprietary data and risk analytics platform.

EOS Investment Management (EOS IM), an independent London-based AIFM, has acquired Neronobile, a family-founded coffee company that has enjoyed sustained growth in Europe.
The transaction sees EOS IM’s Private Equity Fund acquire 67 per cent of the company Neronobile whilst the existing shareholders maintain 33 per cent, thus maximising business continuity.

WH Smith is to acquire InMotion, a North American airport-based retailer of digital travel accessories, for USD198 million (GBP155 million).
Established in 1998, InMotion operates a concession portfolio of 114 stores across 43 airports in the United States, with a presence in nine of the top ten, and 22 of the top 25 busiest US airports.
