Talis Capital (Talis), a London-based venture capital firm focussed on technology companies, has made an investment of USD2.5million into Learning People, the UK’s leading online training company, and SkillsFox, its B2B arm serving corporate training and development needs. Pan-European private equity firm Agilitas’ portfolio company Recover Nordic has acquired JK Kloakservice (JKK). Recover Nordic is a leading Nordic provider of damage control, emergency response and environmental services. The JKK acquisition brings the total number of add-on acquisitions to fifteen since Agilitas’ buyout of Recover Nordic in 2013.   JKK will work closely with Recover Nordic’s existing damage control and environmental services business in Denmark, expanding the environmental services footprint of the group which was established earlier this year through the acquisition of Sydslam.   The acquisition of JKK, which provides nationwide coverage from its Zealand base, expands Recover
Nexxus Iberia’s Nexxus Iberia Private Equity Fund I has completed its second investment with the acquisition of a minority stake, in conjunction with Capzanine, Dorsia, Eva and Origen, a franchise business operating in women’s health in Spain. The consortium made of Capzanine and Nexxus Iberia will provide financial and strategic support to the founders, Manuel and Jorge Fernandez, who will remain the majority shareholders of the group and will continue to manage the business. The Group operates three brands being Dorsia (aesthetic surgery and medicine treatments), Eva Fertility (assisted reproduction and fertility services in Spain), and Origen (mental health therapies).
African investment bank Imara Corporate Finance and London-based financial advisory firm Spayne Lindsay have formed a strategic alliance. WCP has acquired a majority stake in Realease Capital, alongside the founding CEO and deputy CEO – Régis Dodin and Cyril Marlaud respectively – as well as other key executives who are reinvesting significantly in the deal. The transaction is to be completed by the end of September.   Realease Capital was created from the merger in 2012 between DDL (founded in 1986 by Dodin) and Comiris Capital (led by Cyril Marlaud). Rock Rail and Aberdeen Standard Investments (ASI) have finalised an agreement to fund, purchase and then lease new fleets of trains across Europe. Rock Rail and ASI together have already successfully financed and procured modern train fleets for three UK rail networks – a total investment of GBP2 billion. Gide has advised Legrand on its purchase of Shenzhen Clever Electronic Co, a Chinese specialist in intelligent PDUs4 for data centres. Shenzhen Clever Electronic Co rounds out Legrand’s product offerings in a high added-value segment, where it is already number one in the United States with its Raritan and Server Technology brands.   Gide advised Legrand on all aspects of the project, including legal due diligence, structuring, and negotiation and drafting of the transaction documents.   The Gide team was headed by partner David Boitout, working with Wang Zengyan and Li Jing, associates.    
Ecura Helse og Omsorg (Ecura), a portfolio company of Longship Fund I, has made two new add-on acquisitions – Asor Helse and Accurate Care. Asor Helse is a provider of home care and health services in the Norwegian market, with a focus on elderly care, personal assistance to disabled, and home health care. Accurate Care provides temporary staff for hire and qualified health personnel for permanent employment to the Norwegian health and care market.
