Platina Energy Partners (Platina) has sold a 34.5MWp portfolio of eight operating solar plants located in Italy to a European financial investor for a total deal value of EUR131.9 million. The completion is subject to change-of-control approvals by the portfolio’s debt providers. Five of the plants are located in the Puglia region and three in Campania. The plants were built and connected to grid between 2010 and 2011 and benefit from the Italian feed-in-tariff (FIT) regime. Shore Capital Partners has completed the recapitalisation of Advanced Animal Hospital Group and Progressive Pet Animal Hospitals and merger of the businesses to form Midwest Veterinary Partners (MVP). The Company has 22 general practice veterinary clinics in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Illinois, and provides services to companion animals including vaccinations, surgery, wellness exams, oncology, ophthalmology, allergy treatment and dermatology. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.   Shore has partnered with Dr Vic Dhillon, owner of Advanced Animal Hospital Group, and Dr Jeff Rothstein, owner of Progressive Pet Animal Hospitals, to pursue a consolidation of animal hospitals throughout the Midwest.

Mid-market private equity firm LDC has completed the sale of Mini-Cam, a manufacturer and distributor of pipeline inspection systems, to Halma in a deal that values the business at up to GBP85 million. Headquartered in Warrington, Mini-Cam designs and builds intuitive and robust modular pipeline inspection systems that are used across the water and wastewater industry, as well as by public authorities and companies in the oil and gas, petrochemical, nuclear, security, construction and engineering sectors.   LDC backed the management buyout of Mini-Cam in July 2015, providing additional funding to accelerate the firm’s international growth strategy. SouChe has closed its Series E funding round led by Alibaba with participation from Warburg Pincus, Primavera Capital and CMB International. This round is less than 12 months from the USD100 million Series C round in November 2016 led by Ant Financial, and less than six months from the USD180 million Series D round in April 2017 led by Warburg Pincus.
