Sentinel Capital Partners, a private equity firm that invests in promising companies in the lower middle market, has sold PlayCore, a North American designer, manufacturer, and marketer of a broad range of play, park, and recreation products. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

Beehive, a MENA peer to peer lending (P2P) platform, has secured USD5 million investment as part of a Series A round led by Riyad TAQNIA Fund and supported by the Mohammed Bin Rashid Fund (MBRF), the financial arm of Dubai SME, as well as several other regional investors.
This latest fundraise brings the total raised by Beehive to USD10.5 million since its launch.

Shareholders of Saxo Bank Group (Saxo), a leading multi-asset trading and financial-technology firm, have received an offer from Sampo Group, a leading Nordic financial services group, to take up a stake of 19.9 per cent of the bank.
In May 2017, it was announced that Geely Financials Denmark A/S, a subsidiary of Zhejiang Geely Holding Group Co, Ltd (“Geely Group”), had made an offer to buy 30 per cent of the shares of Saxo. YFM Equity Partners (YFM), a specialist private equity fund manager, has backed a GBP1.5 million investment into e2E Engineering Limited (e2E), a technical consultancy operating in the telecommunications market, with particular expertise in satellite communications.

Investment banking and asset management firm Alantra has combined with Catalyst Corporate Finance (Catalyst). The transaction, which is subject to Alantra Shareholder’s Meeting and FCA Approval, has a value of over GBP30 million.
Following a transition period, Catalyst will rebrand as Alantra UK and the move will see Catalyst’s partners driving the UK arm of the Alantra global M&A advisory business. The transaction involves 15 Catalyst partners and directors taking a shareholding in the listed group. In addition, there is further equity allocated for future partner and staff incentivisation.

Pamplona Capital Management has completed its acquisition of biopharmaceutical services company, Parexel.
Pamplona has acquired all outstanding shares of Parexel for USD88.10 per share in cash. The transaction was approved overwhelmingly by stockholders on September 15, with more than 98 per cent of votes cast in favour. Parexel stock will stop trading at the close of business today. Josef von Rickenbach will continue to serve as CEO. Dr. Jeremy Gelber, Partner of Pamplona Capital Management, will serve on the Board of Directors.

Kirkland & Ellis advised Nidda Healthcare Holding AG and Nidda BondCo GmbH, companies owned by private equity funds Bain Capital and Cinven, in connection with EUR3.175 billion of syndicated debt financing for Bain Capital’s and Cinven’s takeover of German generic pharmaceutical group STADA Arzneimittel AG.
The debt financing consisted of EUR1.7 billion of term loans, EUR1.075 billion of high yield bonds and a EUR400 million revolving credit facility. With a total value of EUR5.4 billion, the STADA acquisition is one of the largest private equity take-private transactions ever in Germany.

Berkshire Partners has completed its acquisition of Accela, a provider of civic engagement software solutions for state, county and municipal governments. Abry Partners, an existing shareholder, will remain an investor in the company. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
