French start-up Bunkr has closed its first fundraising at EUR1 million with investments from Idinvest Partners, Daniel Marhely (Deezer co-founder) and Xavier NIEL. The financing will allow Bunkr to improve the development of its product, which allows users to share presentations using Dropbox and Twitter, and accelerate its international growth.   One year after its launch, Bunkr has 50,000 users in 170 countries, mostly in Brazil, Eastern Asia and the US.
Private equity firm Northern Lights Capital Group, a provider of strategic capital and resources to boutique asset management firms, has made an investment in Buick Capital Partners. Buick is an independent, London-based private placement firm, providing advisory and placement services to alternative investment managers with strategies ranging from liquid hedge funds to private equity and other longer-term special situations vehicles.   The new company will be re-named Northern Lights Alternative Advisors (NLAA) and will provide expanded distribution and strategic capabilities for Northern Lights in the UK and Europe. Napier Park Global Capital’s financial partners team has completed the initial investment of the Napier Park Railcar Lease Fund, a USD370 million specialised, single-purpose private equity fund. ResponseTap, a specialist in call tracking and analytics, has secured GBP4m of Series B funding including GBP2.5m from Beringea, which manages the ProVen Venture Capital Trusts, and GBP1.5m from Eden Ventures. ResponseTap will use this investment to accelerate expansion in the US and to continue support for its UK development team.

RiverVest Venture Partners has sold portfolio company Lumena Pharmaceuticals to Dublin-based Shire Plc in a transaction with an upfront payment of USD260 million in cash.
