Legal & General has led a $60 million Series C funding round in electric car subscription service Onto. The round will enable the business to consolidate its position in the UK and expand into Europe, beginning with Germany.
Existing investors including Alfvén & Didrikson, Accelerated Digital Ventures, Campden Hill, and the family office of Jim O’Neill, also participated in the round. The Series C raise brings Onto’s total funding to date to over $330 million in equity and debt.
Onto’s business model enables people to subscribe to an electric car on a monthly contract. The subscriptions are inclusive of
Dynamo Software, a provider of end-to-end cloud software solutions for the alternative investment management industry, has acquired data management specialist Smonik Systems.
Smonik’s automated products for data collection, extraction, validation, and reconciliation will now be added to Synamo’s platform.
Endowments, foundations, pensions, family offices, and funds of funds (FOF), will benefit from Smonik’s ability to reduce or completely eliminate manual data entry and processing. For example, with Smonik’s software, LPs can automate the collection and extraction of data for all investment types – including alternatives – while also adopting a data-agnostic approach to reconcile any two data sets.
The Riverside Company has acquired healthcare education company Rockpointe, a provider of accredited continuing education activities and related training for healthcare professionals.
The acquisition is the second add-on to global private investor Riverside’s portfolio company Clinical Education Alliance (CEA) platform following the July 2021 purchase of MDOutlook, a provider of precision intelligence solutions that help life sciences companies develop and commercialise therapeutics and diagnostics in oncology.

Wynnchurch Capital (Wynnchurch), a middle market private equity firm, has sold Foss Floors (Foss) to Mohawk Industries (Mohawk), a producer of floor covering products for residential and commercial applications in North America and residential applications in Europe.
Foss is a specialist in non-woven needle punch floor coverings and specialty flooring products. With an unwavering commitment to environmentally sustainable and American-made manufacturing, the Company’s products are produced in state-of-the-art, computerised production facilities in Rome and Chatsworth, Georgia. Epiq Solutions is now a portfolio company of the Vantage Fund, which targets opportunities in the middle market. Co-founders John Orlando, Aaron Madsen, and Michael Shogren will continue to lead the company and will retain a significant ownership position. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
