Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software specialist Cooper Software, which is backed by YFM Equity Partners (YFM), is building its reach in central Europe with the acquisition of German-based ERP consulting firm and IFS Applications specialist u:benit.
The acquisition of the German-based business, which will trade as Cooper Software GmbH, is another step in the company’s strategy to expand internationally following a multi-million pound investment by YFM in November 2021. It will enable Cooper Software to meet growing demand for IFS consulting and implementation services in Germany, Austria and Switzerland (D-A-CH).

Online education company FourthRev has raised USD8 million in a Series A funding round led by education technology impact fund Educapital.
Reach Capital, Emerge Education and Danner Capital also provided follow-on funding along with a number of edtech entrepreneurs and executives.

Cybersecurity specialist Saporo has raised USD2.7 million in a pre-seed round co-led by Session VC and Lightbird Ventures.
Saporo’s technology enables any organisation to model and measure its resistance to anticipate attacks and make better-informed decisions about managing its risk without the need to think like an attacker.
The Swiss cyber security startup launched in April 2021 after 18 months of research and development. Manchester-based technology start-up, SamsonVT, has secured USD5.1 million in a seed funding round led by Par Equity, with participation from US-based Blumberg Capital.
SamsonVT has developed Industry 4.0 solutions that are transforming product maintenance and after sales, a USD400 billion market.

Polly, a SaaS technology company focussed on the mortgage capital markets, has raised USD37 million in Series B funding, bringing Polly’s total funding to over USD50 million.
The round was led by Menlo Ventures with participation by new investors including Movement Mortgage, First American Financial, and FinVC. Existing investors 8VC, Khosla Ventures and Fifth Wall also participated in the round. Tyler Sosin, Partner at Menlo Ventures, will join Polly’s Board of Directors.
Harbour Point Capital (HPC), a private equity investment firm specialising in the healthcare services field, has completed a new investment in Midwest Medical Transport (MMT), a provider of ambulance transportation services.
HPC and healthcare industry veteran Kevin Ketzel, former president of Agiliti Health (NASDAQ: AGTI), partnered on the transaction.
Panorama Point Partners (Panorama) and its equity partners, Dixon Midland Company (Dixon Midland) and ORIX Private Equity Solutions (ORIX), prior investors in MMT, have sold their interests as part of the recapitalisation.
Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
DigitalOwl, a Natural Language Processing (NLP) technology for analysing and summarising medical records, has raised USD20 million in a Series A round led by New York-based global private equity and venture capital firm Insight Partners, with participation from existing investors Ibex and Fusion VC.
This latest round of fundraising will be used for additional hires that will strengthen existing teams, particularly technology development, sales, marketing and client service. The round quickly follows the company’s USD6.5 million seed announcement in February 2021.
