Palatine-backed Suntera Global has enhanced its presence in the Channel Islands with the acquisition of specialist fiduciary services provider, Nedgroup Trust Limited. Suntera says the deal strengthens its offering and extends its reach into an additional tier one jurisdiction in Guernsey. Payflow, a financial wellbeing platform that allows employees to get paid on demand, has closed an EUR8 million financing round to continue its growth in Spain and its internationalisation plans, which have already started in Chile and Colombia. In 2022, the company plans to start operations in two additional countries and to launch at least two more products. After closing this round, the total funding raised by Payflow to date exceeds EUR12 million, with the company having previously raised EUR2 million inn a seed round EUR2 million in a debt round. This new fundraising attracted renowned national and international investors.

Funds advised by Permira Credit are acting as sole senior secured lender to Castik Capital’s acquisition of TBAuctions. NPIF Maven Equity Finance, managed by Maven Capital Partners (Maven) and part of the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund (NPIF) has invested GBP500,000 in Cheshire based Cryoniss Limited (Cryoniss), a storage and logistics management services business. The funding will enable the business to create new jobs, expand its service offering and invest in green technology as it seeks to create new jobs in the North West and grow its customer base initially in the UK and Europe. Cryoniss provides storage facilities, knowledge and extensive scientific expertise to the life sciences sector.
Lukka, the crypto-asset software and data provider, have closed their Series E investment round of USD110 million, valuing the company at more than USD1.3 billion. This round comes after closing their Series D round just nine months ago. The round was led by Marshall Wace, a global alternative asset manager. The round’s other notable investors include Miami International Holdings, In, Summer Capital, and SiriusPoint Ltd., as well as participation from previous investors Soros Fund Management, Liberty City Ventures, S&P Global, and CPA.com, who all contributed to the company’s Series D investment.
Century Park Capital Partners has recapitalised NCP Coatings, Inc, a developer and manufacturer of performance coatings solutions for the military, industrial, commercial, and forestry end markets. NCP marks the third platform and eleventh overall investment by Century Park in the Specialty Chemicals sector. Charlton Keultjes, who currently leads NCP, will remain with the business as President & COO. Chess.com, the world’s largest chess platform, has secured a significant growth investment from General Atlantic. Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.   Launched in 2007, Chess.com is the world’s leading online destination for playing, learning and watching chess, with over 75 million registered users and more than 10 million games played every day.  Houlihan Lokey advised on the deal.
