Medline, the medical supply manufacturer backed by Blackstone, Carlyle, and Hellman & Friedman, is targeting a $55bn valuation in a US IPO which would make it one of the largest PE-backed listings ever, according to a report by Reuters.
L’Oréal has agreed to double its stake in Galderma Group to 20% as it deepens its exposure to the fast-growing injectable aesthetics market, according to a report by Bloomberg. The shares are being acquired from an investor consortium led by private equity firm EQT, although financial terms were not disclosed. Based on Galderma’s share price, a 10% stake is valued at about CHF3.9bn ($4.9bn).
Global private equity firm Advent International has ended talks to acquire a 31% stake in Whirlpool of India from its US parent, Whirlpool Corp, after failing to reach agreement on pricing, according to a report by Reuters citing unnamed sources familiar with the matter.

Digita Group has reached an agreement to be acquired by GI Partners. Digita is one of the largest independent, diversified tower companies in the Nordics, with nationwide tower portfolios across both Finland and Iceland. AUB Group shares fell sharply on Monday after EQT and CVC Asia Pacific ended a takeover pursuit that saw the Australian insurance broker valued at AUD5.25bn ($3.44bn), according to a report by Reuters.
Perwyn, a European private equity investor, has entered an agreement to exit its holding in Interact Software (Interact) to funds managed by Castik Capital, realising a 3.2x multiple on invested capital.
