Leading mid-market private equity firm LDC has exited its investment in transport management software provider Mandata to Tenzing.
LDC backed Newcastle-headquartered Mandata in May 2018 to support the business’ growth strategy and build on its position as a market leading transport technology provider.
Mandata’s pioneering SaaS-based solution allows the UK’s carrier and haulage businesses to manage workflow and data more effectively, with products including traffic planning and management, tracking, telematics, and invoicing. The company employs 120 people across its offices in Newcastle, Leeds, London and Leicestershire. I Squared Capital, through its ISQ Global Infrastructure Fund III, has agreed to acquire a majority interest in SOILCO Pty Ltd, a specialist in the organics recycling industry in Australia from its shareholders and has committed a further AUD300 million to support the platform’s growth across the country.
SOILCO has over 30 years of operational experience in waste processing from designing, building and operating facilities that help households and businesses reduce landfill use by transforming organic waste into high quality soil health products for agriculture and urban market applications such as turf, landscaping and gardening. HIG Capital (HIG) has sold its portfolio company, Hart & Cooley (H&C) to DuraVent, a manufacturer of venting products for gas, wood, oil, pellet and fuel burning appliances.

RidgeLake Partners (RidgeLake) has made a strategic investment in Gauge Capital (Gauge), a growth-oriented middle market private equity firm. Specific terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
EagleTree Capital (EagleTree) has secured a strategic minority equity investment from affiliates of Investcorp Strategic Capital Group (ISCG). Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
The investment from ISCG will enable EagleTree to strengthen its investment platform and accelerate the growth of its business. Investcorp’s deep private markets expertise and global investor network provide for an optimal partnership. ISCG will be a passive, non-voting partner in EagleTree and there will be no changes to EagleTree’s team, strategy, execution of its investment processes or day-to-day operations in connection with the partnership.

An affiliate of Arlington Capital Partners (Arlington), a Washington, DC-area private equity firm, is to acquire Systems Planning & Analysis (SPA) from CM Equity Partners and SPA Management.
The agreement is subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals.
Following closing, Arlington’s existing portfolio company, MCR will be combined with SPA. Dr William Vantine, SPA President and CEO, will serve as President and CEO of the combined company.
