Private equity fund Abac Solutions has closed the sale of Isolana, the Spanish independent distributor of interior finishing and general building materials, to BME Group (owned by Blackstone) after completion of customary regulatory approvals.
Isolana, which traces its origins to 1939, was acquired by Abac Solutions in 2019. The group consists of two distribution formulas, under the brands Isolana and La Especialista, as well as the metal profiles manufacturer Isopractic and the installation company La Instaladora.
Isolana is one of the market leaders in the supply of interior finishing building materials in Spain, with 36 distribution centres and 70,000 sqm
Macfarlanes has advised Dublin-based commercial security, cleaning and support services company, Bidvest Noonan, on an agreement that will see facilities management company Cordant Services join its group.
The acquisition is the company’s fourth in 2021 and will bring the total number of employees to more than 27,000 and annual revenues beyond GBP700 million.
The Macfarlanes team was led by corporate and M&A partner Simon Perry with assistance from solicitor Cristina Leon Barbadillo.

Trilantic North America, a, growth-focused middle market private equity firm, has agreed to acquire the on-demand manufacturing business from 3D Systems in partnership with Ziad Abou, a tenured industry pioneer and veteran who held the role of Senior Vice President and General Manager of the operation for nearly a decade, and other industry executives.
