Levine Leichtman Capital Partners (LLCP), a Los Angeles-based private equity firm, has sold its portfolio company NBC Holdings (Nothing Bundt Cakes) to Roark Capital (Roark).
Nothing Bundt Cakes is the market-leading franchisor and operator of gourmet bakeries offering specialty Bundt cakes and retail gift items. The Company’s products are handcrafted and baked on-site daily with high quality ingredients and proprietary formulations distributed by its in-house facilities. Nothing Bundt Cakes currently has nearly 400 locations in the US. and Canada. The Company was founded in 1997 and is headquartered in Addison, Texas.

Global investment firm KKR is to invest USD95 million in Lenskart, an omni-channel eyewear retailer in India, via a secondary stake acquisition.
Upon the completion of the transaction, KKR will look to leverage its experience working with leading technology and eyewear companies globally to support Lenskart in expanding its presence in India, scaling its growing operations overseas, and enhancing its digital offerings to augment customers’ virtual and omni-store experience.
As part of the transaction, existing investors TPG Growth and TR Capital, who first invested in Lenskart in late 2014, will each divest a portion of their holding in the Company.
ilumoni, a start-up app that aims to help people to borrow well, has raised GBP1.2 million in an over-subscribed seed funding round after successfully launching in Beta earlier this year.

Genstar Capital, a private equity firm focused on investments in targeted segments of the financial services, healthcare, industrials, and software industries, is to acquire a majority ownership stake in Vector Solutions (Vector), a provider of industry-focused software solutions for training, risk management, workforce management and operational readiness.
Genstar is acquiring Vector from Golden Gate Capital, a leading private equity investment firm, which will remain a significant shareholder in the business. The transaction is expected to close in the next 45 days.

Guru Capital is to acquire substantially all the assets of UK based Fintech company Oval Money Ltd, which will be acquired by and integrated into the UK based online CFD Broker ETX Capital, a Guru Capital portfolio company.
In addition, Guru Capital is in the process of negotiating the acquisition by an associated fund of 100 per cent of the shares of Oval Money Ltd’s Spanish regulated investment firm subsidiary, Oval Marketplace AV, SL.

International law firm RPC has advised Optio Group – a speciality insurance MGA – on its acquisition of nuclear risk specialist Northcourt.
Northcourt – which launched in 2010 – is licensed to underwrite nuclear property and liability risks globally and has clients in Europe, Russia, China, South Africa and Canada, and elsewhere across the world. The executive management team and staff will all remain with the business.
