European private equity firm Bridgepoint has appointed the dean of leading French business school Insead, J Frank Brown, to its European advisory committee.
European private equity firm Bridgepoint has appointed the dean of leading French business school Insead, J Frank Brown, to its European advisory committee. Brown became dean of Insead in 2006 after a 26-year career with PricewaterhouseCoopers where most recently he was been global leader of its USD3.5bn advisory services arm.
A graduate of Bucknell University, Brown is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York, New Jersey and Connecticut State Societies of Certified Public Accountants.
Bridgepoint is a private equity manager with a 25-year track record of investing in European businesses that will achieve long-term capital growth. Independently owned and managed by a team of experienced private equity practitioners, the firm has raised EUR8bn to date from institutional investors.
In the past 10 years Bridgepoint has completed more than 150 transactions with a total value of EUR18bn and in the past five years have sold businesses to return more than EUR5bn to investors. Bridgepoint companies currently employ some 48,000 people across Europe with a combined turnover of EUR6bn.
