Dentons has advised Martin Møller, the founder of Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC), on Singapore sovereign wealth fund GIC’s significant minority investment in NAC.
NAC currently has a fleet of 480 aircraft with a value of USD8.3 billion. Martin Møller and EQT VI formed a partnership in 2015 which has since transformed NAC from being a lessor focused on turboprop aircraft, to being the world’s largest regional aircraft lessor and the fourth largest commercial aircraft leasing company.
GIC is a global investor with significant aircraft leasing experience and the transaction will be executed by an affiliate of GIC.
Nicholas Plant, partner in Dentons’ UK Private Equity team and co-leader of the Firm’s global Private Equity practice who led on the deal, said, “We are delighted to have advised Martin Møller on GIC’s investment in NAC which will enhance its growth journey and reinforce its market position as a leading regional aircraft lessor.”
Alongside Nicholas Plant, the Dentons team in London included Tax partner Alex Thomas and Corporate associate Geraint Steyn.
Clifford Chance acted for the other selling shareholder EQT and Freshfields acted for GIC.
