DOB Equity names new Investment Director

DOB Equity, the Dutch family office specialising in East African investments, has named Cikü Mugambi as its new Investment Director, according to a report by Africa Private Equity News.

Mugambi brings 15 years of investment and operational expertise across Africa, with a strong track record in deploying capital into high-impact businesses.

She began her career at KPMG in audit and deal advisory before joining the International Finance Corporation (IFC), where she led equity investments in technology startups and venture capital funds across sub-Saharan Africa. Most recently, Mugambi served as CEO of Kobo360, a leading digital logistics platform.

In her new role at DOB Equity, she will focus on identifying and backing local founders developing scalable solutions to Africa’s most pressing challenges.

Mugambi holds an MBA from Strathmore Business School and IESE Business School, a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science from the University of Nairobi, and is a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya.

As part of her transition, she will be relocating from Lagos to Nairobi.
