Dunedin, the UK mid-market private equity house, has appointed Lorna Eltringham as investor relations manager and Jessica Hardy as an analyst.
At the same time, Dunedin’s David Williams joins Ross Marshall as a senior partner of the firm.
Eltringham joins from Coller Capital where she worked with the fundraising team to raise its sixth global secondaries fund with capital commitments of USD5.5 billion. She previously spent ten years with Credit Suisse, most recently as a vice president in their private equity fund placements team. She will support partner Mark Ligertwood in managing relationships with new and existing investors following Dunedin’s close of its GBP300 million third fund in June 2013.
Hardy was previously at Accenture as a strategy consultant, targeting the oil and gas and utilities industries. She has strong skills in market analysis and research and at Dunedin will be involved in identifying companies that meet Dunedin's investment criteria.
Shaun Middleton, managing partner at Dunedin, says: “The appointments of Lorna and Jessica demonstrate our commitment to developing our team and we are delighted to welcome them both on board.
“The fundraising environment has become increasingly competitive and the requirements of LP’s are always changing. We completed a successful GBP300m fund raise in June last year and it is therefore important that we develop our team to best meet the needs of our investors. Lorna has an excellent track record and we believe that she will be a strong asset to our investor relations function.
“Jessica will support the origination team and in due course the investment team in exploring new investment opportunities. With a new fund behind us, we have the firepower to invest and are actively looking for UK headquartered businesses that are market leaders in their niche, which we can help to grow and internationalise."
