DWS has added Dr Peter Brodehser to its infrastructure investment team with immediate effect. Brodehser, most recently Head of Infrastructure Investments at Talanx subsidiary Ampega, will build up and lead an infrastructure investment team based in Frankfurt as DWS expands and strengthens its activities in Germany and on the European continent.
The German team will focus on investments in the field of renewable energies and other investments in infrastructure utility services. The aim is to broaden DWS’s range of European infrastructure investments and make them accessible to a larger group of investors.
Brodehser has more than 20 years of professional experience. Before joining Talanx, he worked for HSH Nordbank, Helaba and PWC in Germany, New York, and Singapore. He is also a board member of the German Alternative Investments Association (Bundesverband Alternative Investments). Brodehser holds an MBA from FOM Business School, Frankfurt, and he completed his doctorate at the University of Potsdam.
Additionally, Katharina Thomas has joined DWS, reporting in to Brodehser as part of his management team. Thomas was most recently Head of Portfolio Management responsible for asset management in the Infrastructure Investment division of Talanx subsidiary Ampega, where she reported to Brodehser. Thomas has more than 15 years of experience in infrastructure investments. Before joining Ampega, she worked in the Infrastructure Advisory division of PwC in Germany.
