German asset management company DWS has appointed Roscoe Roman as Senior Investment Manager for Alternative Credit (EMEA) effective immediately, a newly created role that forms part of growth plans for DWS’s €111bn alternatives franchise.
The appointment of Roman builds on that of Dan Robinson as EMEA Head of Alternative Credit.
In his new London-based role, Roman will report to Robinson and work across private credit and leveraged loans to deliver DWS’s alternative credit (EMEA) strategy. He will be responsible for corporate credit underwriting, incorporating direct lending origination and CLO management.
Prior to joining DWS, Roman was Chief Financial Officer at non-alcoholic beverage company Lyre’s Spirit Co. He has also worked as a Principal in the newly formed European credit team at Apollo Global Management, where he worked to build out a dedicated European liquid credit group; within Credit Suisse’s leveraged finance and financial sponsorship team, where he focused on research and underwriting within capital markets; and at Citigroup.
