Equistone Partners Europe (Equistone), one of Europe’s leading mid-market private equity investors, has made four appointments to its investment team across Europe. The new appointments strengthen Equistone’s origination and investment capabilities across its core markets.
Two of the appointments have been made in Equistone’s Munich office: Julia Brunswicker will join the firm as an Investment Manager, and Hubert van Wolfswinkel as a Director, operating across Germany and the Netherlands. Additionally, Isabella Boman-Flavell and Caroline Pinton have each been appointed as Investment Managers and will join Equistone’s offices in London and Paris, respectively.
Guillaume Jacqueau, Managing Partner of Equistone, says: “We are delighted to announce four new appointments to Equistone’s investment team across Europe. One of Equistone’s greatest strengths is the quality of our people, whose market expertise allow us to act as truly strategic partners to the management teams within our portfolio. I am very happy to welcome Caroline, Hubert, Isabella and Julia to the firm. Their considerable experience in executing transactions across the European market adds great value to the team’s capabilities. The arrival of Hubert sees Equistone strengthen its focus on the Benelux region, a market in which we increasingly find compelling investment opportunities.”
Julia joins Equistone’s DACH team in Munich. Prior to joining Equistone, Julia worked for Deutsche Beteiligungs AG for four years, most recently as a Senior Investment Manager, and at BayernLB Capital Partner as an Investment Manager for two years. Julia began her career at Deloitte, working in M&A and transaction services.
Van Wolfswinkel joins the firm from Montagu Private Equity, where he worked for seven-and-a-half years as a Director. Previously he worked for Bain Capital for more than three years and, prior to that, McKinsey & Co for three years. As part of the DACH investment team, van Wolfswinkel will split his time between Munich and the Netherlands.
Boman-Flavell joins Equistone’s London office from the Royal Bank of Scotland, where she worked for five years, most recently as an Associate Director in the bank’s Leveraged Finance division, supporting private equity sponsors in the UK and Western Europe.
Prior to joining Equistone’s Paris office, Pinton worked for Messier Maris & Associés, a boutique investment bank, for four years. Caroline brings significant M&A and transaction experience across a range of sectors including Energy, Retail and TMT.
