Eurazeo has closed the sale of its majority stake in the Orolia group, a specialist in R-PNT (Resilient Positioning, Navigation and Timing) solutions and applications, to Safran for €189 million.
Eurazeo has closed the sale of its majority stake in the Orolia group, a specialist in R-PNT (Resilient Positioning, Navigation and Timing) solutions and applications, to Safran for €189 million.
The sale represents a a cash-on-cash multiple of 3.7x for Eurazeo and an internal rate of return (IRR) of around 25%.
Alongside Jean-Yves Courtois, founder of Orolia, and its team, Eurazeo contributed to transform Orolia into an integrated pure player in France. Through an active M&A strategy, five acquisitions have been achieved since 2016 – Netwave (Netherlands) and a minority investment in Satelles (US) in 2017, Talen-X (US, 2019), Skydel (Canada, 2019) and Seven Solutions (Spain, 2021), as well as targeted assets disposals.
