eVestment appoints head of private markets

Katey Bogue has joined eVestment, a global leader in institutional investor data and analytics, as Head of Private Markets. She will be responsible for leading the growth and development of eVestment’s private markets solutions.

This will include expanding eVestment’s private markets database and growing the company’s market intelligence, analytics and due diligence solutions for private markets general and limited partners.
Bogue (pictured), joins eVestment from Nasdaq, eVestment’s parent company, where she served as Head of Alternatives for Nasdaq Private Market. Her appointment illustrates the opportunities to share expertise and personnel between Nasdaq and eVestment that made eVestment an attractive acquisition for Nasdaq. Nasdaq closed on the eVestment acquisition in October of 2017.
“A key value-driver Nasdaq’s acquisition of eVestment was the opportunity to share knowledge and expertise to allow our companies to better serve the institutional investment community,” says eVestment co-founder Heath Wilson. “Katey joins eVestment with a wealth of knowledge and experience in private markets and the investment business. We’re really excited about bringing eVestment’s and Nasdaq’s strengths together to offer solutions and services to the fast-growing private markets business.”
Prior to her most recent position at Nasdaq, Bogue was a Principal at alternatives investment giant The Carlyle Group. During her 12 years at Carlyle, Bogue held several senior positions in Investor Services, Fund Management and Finance, including an active role in Carlyle’s initial public offering. Most recently, Bogue ran the Fund Operations and Enterprise Data team, focused on streamlining middle office operations through technology and enhancing data management and reporting capabilities to Carlyle’s limited partners. Prior to joining The Carlyle Group, she served as a senior associate with KMPG. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Pepperdine University.
“Private markets investors are increasingly looking for solutions to help them leverage data and technology to identify, assess and select the best managers and products for their investment strategy,” says Bogue. “At the same time, fund managers need a way to streamline their fundraising process, ensuring potential investors have access to the information and analytic capabilities they need without overwhelming the investor relations teams.  eVestment is taking a unique approach to addressing this challenge. I am excited to bring my previous industry experience to the challenge of growing eVestment’s offerings in this area.”
