Ex-Centerbridge real estate head launches new real assets firm

Billy Rahm, the former Head of Real Estate at private investments firm Centerbridge Partners, has launched Everview Partners, a New York-based investment firm focused on real assets businesses across North America, according to a report by Bloomberg.

Everview will target investments across a number of sectors including residential real estate, storage, logistics, leisure, digital infrastructure, transportation, and energy transition. The firm will have the flexibility to invest across both equity and debt, allowing it to deploy capital throughout the capital structure of companies and properties.

Everview has recruited David S Cohen, a former Managing Director at Brookfield Asset Management, and Gregory Ressa, a former Partner and Head of Real Estate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP, as senior members of its investment team.

Rahm spent 17 years at Centerbridge Partners, where he oversaw major real estate investments and chaired the boards of companies including Great Wolf Resorts (water park operator); Suntex Marina Investors (marina operator); and Carefree Communities (RV and manufactured housing communities, now part of Sun Communities).
