Ex-Lindsay Goldberg executives form new PE firm Stonecourt Capital

Lance Hirt and Jaime Buehl-Reichard, former executives of Lindsay Goldberg have launched StoneCourt Capital, a new private equity firm focused in partnership with David Lumpkins and Nathan Ticatch of PetroLogistics Company (PetroLogistics).

Stonecourt will opportunistically capitalise on market dislocations by facilitating the growth of existing businesses and constructing or repositioning hard assets. The firm will be headquartered in New York City with offices in Houston and Cleveland.

Stonecourt’s leadership team has worked together for more than 12 years to transform companies across multiple industries, including logistics and distribution, petrochemicals, industrial services, consumer products and midstream energy.  Leveraging deep financial acumen, established operational expertise and strong industry relationships, Stonecourt’s partners have achieved a strong record identifying opportunities and working to develop them into industry-leading businesses.  Lance Hirt, who was a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley before spending 13 years as a Partner at private equity firm Lindsay Goldberg, will lead the new firm as its Managing Partner.  Jaime Buehl-Reichard, who also spent more than a decade at Lindsay Goldberg, most recently as a Managing Director, will be a Co-Founding Partner.  They are joined by PetroLogistics’ Partners David Lumpkins and Nathan Ticatch, Co-Founders of both PL Midstream and PetroLogistics L.P.

“We are excited to launch Stonecourt and confident that our experience and know-how will enable us to capitalise on secular changes in the North American business environment,” says Hirt. “We believe this is an opportune time to facilitate the transformative growth of proven businesses and to fund capital projects for the development of essential manufacturing and logistics assets.  Thanks to our partnership with PetroLogistics and our team’s collective expertise, we are distinctly positioned to identify and efficiently execute upon these opportunities.”

“We are pleased to continue our long-term working relationship with Lance and Jaime,” says David Lumpkins. “Our collective vision and project development expertise will enable us to capitalise on the current market dynamics to pursue a differentiated set of opportunities and build great businesses.”
