EY names Global Private Equity Leader

EY has appointed Andres Saenz as the new EY Global Private Equity Leader, effective immediately. In his new role, Saenz will oversee more than 25,000 EY professionals serving the private equity enterprise worldwide.

Andres has more than 20 years of experience assisting private equity firms with investment strategy, commercial due diligence, portfolio company strategy, value creation and sell-side engagements. He has worked in a variety of sectors, including consumer products and retail, healthcare and life sciences and business and industrial services.
Shaun Crawford, EY Global Vice Chair – Industry, says: “Andres takes the helm at a critically important juncture for private equity. Valuations, disruption and competition are each at all-time highs. Andres’ client-centric approach and innovative thinking will help EY clients unlock new paths to growth that create lasting value.”
Saenz succeeds Herb Engert, who is now Managing Partner of the Ernst & Young LLP New York office.
Saenz says: “Private equity is a growing force of change in the global economy. I look forward to leading EY professionals as we address EY clients’ most pressing challenges.”
Previously, Saenz was a managing director of strategy consultancy for EY-Parthenon and leader of its Boston office and remains global co-head of the EY-Parthenon Private Equity practice. He is also part of the EY Global Industry Markets Leadership team.
