EY has expanded its tax team with the appointment of two new partners, Elliott Morley and Gabriel Iliuta, as the firm gears up for an anticipated increase in client demand for specialist private credit advice, according to a report by Consultancy.
The report cites Stuart Sinclair, UK financial services tax partner at EY, as saying that the firm’s UK-based tax team now includes four dedicated private credit partners across the UK, as well as “a strong team across our European network – particularly in Luxembourg and Ireland”.
Morley, who has 22 years of experience in the banking and funds sector, joins EY from PwC, where he advised some of the largest funds investing in the credit sector.
Iliuta maniple, who its also London-based, previously worked with Deloitte across Central Europe, Middle East and North Africa, and the UK with a focus on credit and restructuring tax.
