Federated Hermes Private Equity has promoted Brooks Harrington, previously Deputy CIO and Head of US Investment, to CIO, Private Equity.
In his new role, Harrington is responsible for the investment team and investment performance. He joined in 2015 from GE Capital, where he served as Associate.
Harrington replaces Peter Gale, who held the role of CIO and Head of Private Equity for over 15 years. Gale has retired from his executive responsibilities but will serve as Chairman of Federated Hermes Private Equity, having founded Hermes GPE in 2009.
Cameron Payne, who serves as Co-Head of EMEA Investment, has also been appointed to the firm’s private equity global investment committee, having joined Federated Hermes in 2015. He has overseen changes to the firm’s active co-investment model and has completed around 40 deals and 20 primary fund investments.
Federated Hermes Private Equity focuses on co-investment, primary fund investment, secondaries and other specialist strategies. The division operates from New York, London and Singapore.
