Flexpoint Ford, a Chicago-based private equity firm specialising in investment in the financial services sector, has promoted Managing Partner Chris Ackerman to Chief Executive Officer, according to a report by Crain’s.
Founder Don Edwards, who has served as CEO for 20 years, will remain at the firm full-time as Executive Chairman.
Ackerman’s appointment is part of a long-term succession plan aimed at providing continuity for both investors and employees.
Ackerman has been with Flexpoint Ford since 2006, shortly after the firm’s founding, and has played a key role in shaping its investment strategy and portfolio growth.
