MPEP Management Luxembourg has secured a double-digit million Euro commitment from an alternative investment fund managed by Degroof Petercam, one of Belgium’s leading independent investment services institutions.
With its history dating back to 1871, Degroof Petercam today manages more than EUR54 billion for wealthy families, business owners and investment professionals. MPEP Management Luxembourg S.à r.l. and its sister company Munich Private Equity Partners GmbH (together “MPEP”) offer private equity programmes, managed accounts and further investment services for institutional clients out of their offices in Oberhaching (Greater Munich Area) and Luxembourg.

BlackRock’s European Private Debt team has successfully closed its EUR1.1 billion first-time European Middle Market Private Debt Fund alongside several separate accounts, bringing the total AIM of the strategy to EUR1.8 billion.
The capital raise was a result of the team’s strong experience in middle market investing, their differentiated sourcing approach through local originators, and a global effort across the BlackRock platform.
The Fund’s final close exceeded the initial target of EUR750 million. The strategy saw strong demand from a diverse client base of around 50 investors globally, including insurers, public pension plans, foundations, endowments and family offices.
Fortino Capital is investing EUR2.2 million in Dobco Medical Systems, a Belgian software company specialising in online solutions for medical imaging.
Fortino Capital will help Dobco Medical Systems’ management with the further development of their platform and their international expansion.
Dobco Medical Systems was founded in 2011. Its PACSonWEB platform, is used in nine out of 10 Flemish hospitals. PACSonWEB is a secure cloud platform that provides an efficient way to exchange medical images and reports between all involved parties. Dobco is able to simplify complex processes within medical imaging and provide doctors and patients with medical information faster,
Eurazeo PME, Eurazeo’s division specialising in medium-sized companies, is to sell its stake in the Odealim Group, a French insurance brokerage firm for real estate professionals, to private equity firm TA Associates.
Eurazeo PME purchased AssurCopro in July 2016, working with founders Olivier Scemama and Vincent Mancel and the company’s management team. The transaction should be finalised in October 2018, once the preliminary operations have been completed. Eurazeo PME’s proceeds from the sale should be twice its initial investment.

Funds advised by private equity investor Equistone Partners Europe have agreed to sell a majority stake in Caseking, a European supplier of PC gaming, eSports and tech products, to funds advised by Gilde Buy Out Partners.
Equistone acquired Caseking in March 2014 and has subsequently supported the company’s growth strategy. Caseking’s founders and management will retain a stake in the business. The financial terms of the deal are undisclosed and completion of the sale is subject to the approval of the relevant competition authorities.

Crosslink Capital has closed its eighth venture capital fund, Crosslink Ventures VIII. The new fund, which includes support from both new and existing investors, was over-subscribed, and closed with USD275 million of capital commitments.

AP Ventures has launched as an independent venture capital fund to invest in applications for Platinum Group Metals (PGMs). Anglo American Platinum and South Africa’s Public Investment Corporation (PIC), as cornerstone investors, have each committed USD100 million to the fund.
The newly created AP Ventures is the first fund of its kind investing in pioneering technologies and businesses harnessing the unique high performance characteristics of PGMs.

Thompson Street Capital Partners (TSCP), a private equity firm focused on investing in founder-led middle market businesses, has closed its fifth committed capital investment fund, Thompson Street Capital Partners V (TSCP V), at the hard cap with total commitments of USD1.15 billion.
The fund was oversubscribed and exceeded the original USD850 million target.
Commitments to TSCP V came from a diverse and well-respected group of new and existing global investors comprised of leading corporate and foreign pension funds, endowments, foundations and family offices. Consistent with prior funds, the partners of TSCP have made significant personal capital commitments to TSCP
The industrial gases specialist Messer and CVC Capital Partners Fund VII (CVC) are to acquire the majority of Linde AG’s gases business in North America, and certain business activities in South America.
With approximately 5,100 employees, the acquired North and South American companies generated 2017 revenues of USD1.7 billion (EUR1.4 billion) and EBITDA of just over USD360 million (EUR305 million). The purchase price of USD3.3 billion (EUR2.8 billion) will be subject to customary adjustments at closing. The transaction is subject to the completion of the planned merger of the two industrial gases firms, Praxair and Linde, and the approval by the
