Paragon Group, a provider of customer communications, identification and graphics services, has acquired Imprimus Limited which will become part of Paragon Customer Communications’ business in the UK. Imprimus, formerly known as Stralfors UK, has an annual turnover of around GBP14 million; following the acquisition Paragon Group revenues will exceed EUR700 million during the coming financial year.   The investment in Imprimus is in line with Paragon Group’s strategy to actively integrate complementary businesses in a positive way. OakNorth has completed a deal with MC&C, the international performance media consultancy and media buyer backed by Key Capital Partners (KCP). Founded in 2001, MC&C offers advanced data analytics to its clients, providing media consultancy while also acting as an agent principal on behalf of clients for the purchase of media space across various platforms. Private Equity Partners (Inflexion) has completed a minority investment in Mountain Warehouse, a UK-based outdoor clothing and equipment retailer. The investment is being made from Inflexion’s specialist minority fund, Partnership Capital. The deal sees Inflexion invest approximately GBP45 million for a near 20 per cent stake, attributing Mountain Warehouse an enterprise value of GBP310 million.   Mountain Warehouse will continue to be run by founder and CEO Mark Neale and his team.   Neale started the business with a single store in 1997. Abingworth, an international investment group dedicated to life sciences, has held the final closing of its latest fund, Abingworth Bioventures VII (ABV VII) at USD315 million. ABV VII exceeded its target of USD300 million and is Abingworth’s 12th fund, investing in life sciences companies in Europe and the US. The firm has funds under management of over USD1.2 billion.   The fund invests broadly across all stages of development including early and late-stage venture deals, Clinical Co-development, VIPEs (Venture Investments in Public Equities) and public equities. Investment size per company will typically range from USD15 million to USD30 million.  
Waterland Private Equity has acquired a stake in corporate fitness network Hansefit. The company, a B2B platform for fitness services with its headquarters in Bremen, has more than 1,300 corporate customers. “We are delighted that we will be able to support Hansefit – the market leader in the high-growth segment of company fitness networks – in expanding and rolling out its high-quality services,” says Dr Gregor Hengst, Principal of Waterland Private Equity. Capitama, a global direct private investment platform for sophisticated and professional investors, has reported that its members have exceeded GBP10 billion in annual investment appetite. Analysis of the registered investors on Capitama, which includes circa 400 individuals, family offices, PE firms and investment offices, revealed that its members are willing to devote over GBP10 billion annually to private investment opportunities and philanthropy.   Private Equity is the most popular theme amongst the Capitama network, with investors willing to dedicate GBP7.2 billion annually to these opportunities. The management team of investment firm The RockCreek Group (RockCreek) is acquiring the 65 per cent of the firm currently owned by Wells Fargo, bringing management’s total ownership to 100 per cent.  This decision was made by senior management at both RockCreek and Wells Fargo and reflects their shared view that the transaction supports each firm’s strategic direction and the clients of RockCreek will be best served by a founder- and management-team-led ownership structure. Noerr has advised OSRAM on its acquisition of all shares in BAG electronics and the Philippine company BAG electronics Inc. The seller is the Trilux Group from Arnsberg, Germany. With this acquisition, OSRAM is strengthening its business with electronic components and its expertise in light control. BAG is a specialist in lamp ballasts, LED modules and software for innovative light solutions. In 2017, the company achieved revenues of around EUR50 million. London law firm Wedlake Bell LLP has advised Diversified Gas & Oil (DGO) on its conditional acquisition from EQT Corporation of approximately 11,250 additional producing wells located in the states of Kentucky, West Virginia and Virginia for an agreed consideration of USD575 million, to be satisfied in cash.
