Maersk A/S is to sell Maersk Oil to Total for USD 7.45 billion in a combined share and debt transaction. Maersk Oil will become part of a leading global oil and gas operator with a long-term investment interest in the sector.
Total will take over Maersk Oil’s entire organisation, portfolio, obligations and rights with minimal pre-conditions. Planned development schedules and investments in strategic and sanctioned projects will be upheld.

AMP Capital has reached final close on the AMP Capital Infrastructure Debt Fund III (IDF III), raising USD2.5 billion for the mezzanine debt strategy, an additional USD800 million in co-investment rights and securing a further USD800 million from investors who want access to its deal capabilities.
IDF III, the third infrastructure debt fund launched by AMP Capital in six years, had a target of USD2 billion. The fundraise is believed to be one of the largest in the world for an infrastructure debt strategy.

IGF, a commercial finance provider for SMEs, has delivered a GBP200k invoice finance facility for Lincolnshire-based construction and maintenance firm Rubico.
Rubico sought a new finance partner to provide an injection of working capital into the business, and began working with IGF in July 2017. The facility will allow Rubico to win larger contracts across the wider retail sector, particularly within the food and beverage industry, as well as meet its future ambitions to hire more staff and expand outside of its current premises in Stamford.

YFM has sold its funds’ investments in Harvey Jones Kitchens in a secondary buyout backed by Allied Irish Bank (GB), achieving a return over two-time on the original investment in the process.
Funds advised and managed by YFM backed the buyout of the premium kitchen manufacturer and retailer from the original founder when the company comprised of 10 showrooms primarily based in the South and Home Counties. DA Davidson & Co has acted as exclusive financial advisor to private equity firm JW Hill Capital (JW Hill) on its purchase of GKN Aerospace Bandy Machining, a subsidiary of GKN Aerospace.
The transaction closed on 11 August, 2017 and represents another successful cross-border closing for DA Davidson’s investment banking group. Financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

Fitz Gate Ventures has raised USD10 million for its first fund. Founded in July 2016, Fitz Gate Ventures invests in startups in which a Princeton alum, faculty member or student is either a founder or member of the senior management team, and to date it has invested in five early stage companies.

Mountaingate Capital (Mountaingate), a Denver-based private equity firm, has closed its first fund (Fund I) at its hard cap with USD395 million in capital commitments.
