HTEC Group (HTEC), a global consulting, software engineering and digital product development company, has secured a USD140 million investment from Brighton Park Capital (Brighton Park), a growth equity investment firm that specialises in partnering with growth-stage software, healthcare and tech-enabled services businesses. HTEC will use this investment to further scale its capacities to deliver industry-leading products and technologies to its growing global customer base. Brighton Park’s investment is among the largest initial funding rounds by dollar value recorded in Europe this past year. Cytovation AS, a clinical stage immune-oncology company has closed its Series A financing round, raising a total of NOK180 million (USD20 million). The Series A round was led by Sandwater, a Norwegian venture capital firm that invests in groundbreaking companies across a range of industries including life sciences, and Canica, a large, privately owned investment company operating out of Norway and Switzerland focused on building highly innovative companies that aim to create value for investors and society as a whole. The new funds will primarily be directed towards clinical development of Cytovation’s lead asset CyPep-1, a proprietary first-in-class targeted tumor
ArmorCode, a specialist in AppSecOps, has secured an additional USD8 million in a seed financing round led by Cervin Ventures with participation from Sierra Ventures. The firm’s previous USD3 million funding round was supported by Tau Ventures, and several prominent Cybersecurity leaders, including founders of Demisto and RedLock.  The company will use these new funds to extend its AppSecOps platform capabilities and expand the company’s go-to-market efforts.
Addionics, a chemistry-agnostic battery technology company, has raised USD27 million in a Series A funding round to scale up its efforts to redesign battery architecture with the company’s Smart 3D Electrodes, which improves the cost and performance of batteries with any chemistry – existing or emerging.
Worldwise, a portfolio company of middle market private equity firm A&M Capital Partners (AMCP), has acquired Kitty Sift (Kitty Sift), specialist in the cat litter and accessories segment.
IFC, LeapFrog Investments, and DEG â€“ Deutsche Investitions- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft – have invested USD165 million in convertible Tier 2 bonds issued by Ho Chi Minh City Development Joint Stock Commercial Bank (HDBank), a Vietnamese private retail and SME bank. While strengthening the bank’s capital base, the funding will help increase lending to retail and small and medium enterprises (SMEs), including women-owned or -led ones.   The bond raise will also help HDBank enhance its environmental and social (E&S) risk management capacity by introducing IFC Performance Standards while improving the bank’s corporate governance policies in line with international best practices, including a
SwiftSkill, a digital platform that allows aspiring esports professionals to assess, track and improve their performance, has raised GBP150,000 in pre-seed funding from Jenson Funding Partners. The funding will allow the business to expand its team and provide its service to additional esports game titles, to help gamers build their skills to become professional esports players.  SwiftSkill works by providing a digital analysis tool that gives player’s an insight into their performance. The platform analyses data from matches, providing insight, heat maps and a breakdown of their performance. Players can then identify trends and skills that will succeed in future
BCB Group, a European provider of business accounts and trading services for the digital asset economy, has closed a USD60 million Series A funding round co-led by Foundation Capital with participation from BACKED VC, PayU (the fintech and e-payments business of Prosus), Digital Currency Group, Nexo, Wintermute, Menai Financial Group, Circle, Tokentus Investment, Cowa, Profluent Ventures and LAUNCHub Ventures.
Arrowpoint Advisory has advised Stewart Milne Group on the divestment of Stewart Milne Timber Systems, a UK-based timber frame manufacturer, to the Donaldson Group, a timber and building products specialist, operating throughout the UK. Stewart Milne Group (SMG) was founded in 1975 and is one of the UK’s largest independent housebuilders with offices in Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Manchester and 20-plus active sites UK-wide. Lendis has also raised EUR50 million in debt, contributing to a EUR80 million financing round in total.   The German-based business specialises in hybrid work equipment solutions, such as modular furniture and electronic devices, supplied on a rental basis.
