The Riverside Company has completed fundraising for Riverside Micro-Cap Fund IV (RMCF IV). The international investment firm’s latest buyout fund closed at its hard cap with USD650 million in capital commitments.   RMCF IV invests in fast-growing North American companies with up to USD7 million of EBITDA.   RMCF fund manager Loren Schlachet says his team uses a time-tested approach.   “We work hard to harness the potential in companies by improving their systems, processes and leadership, with the goal of significant growth during the investment period,” says Schlachet.   The RMCF team has invested in over 50 platforms since
One year on from the launch of its first venture debt fund for UK technology firms and innovative companies, Barclays is extending its High Growth fund to GBP200 million as part of its commitment to fund innovative scale-ups. Barclays has seen huge take up from businesses and since launching in May last year has provided GBP100 million in earlier stage financing support to nearly 40 companies.   Barclays remains the only mainstream UK bank to offer high growth businesses and their founders debt funding solutions at this early stage.   The fund is designed to provide access to debt finance;
King & Wood Mallesons has advised Inflexion Private Equity on the management buyout of Bedell Trust, a corporate, fund and fiduciary administration company. Inflexion is an independent mid-market private equity house, investing in established high growth businesses. The MBO, backed by Inflexion, will help to accelerate organic growth and target further selected acquisitions.   Bedell Trust has over 250 employees and operates from Jersey, Guernsey, London, Luxembourg, Dublin, Singapore, Mauritius and Cayman. UBS Asset Management’s infrastructure and private equity business has held the final close of its inaugural infrastructure debt fund, Archmore Infrastructure Debt Platform (Archmore IDP), which has raised EUR570 million (USD640 million).   The capital has been raised from 17 institutional investors comprising a mix of insurance companies, pension funds and family offices spread across eight European countries and Japan.   This strong level of interest reflects the ongoing trend in the current low-yield and interest rate environment of investors seeking alternative investments, such as infrastructure debt, which offer low risk but higher yielding options relative to traditional fixed income
