Mid Europa Partners (Mid Europa), a private equity firm focused on Central and South Eastern Europe, has signed an agreement to increase its stake in the leading CEE road freight transport company Waberer’s International Nyrt from 56.8 per cent currently to 97.1 per cent.
Mid Europa is acquiring the shares held by the founder and CEO, György Wáberer and acquiring full control of the Company. The transaction is subject to anti-trust clearance.

Tortoise Credit Strategies, part of the Tortoise Investments family, has completed the previously announced management buy-out by key Bradford & Marzec employees and Tortoise Credit Strategies.
Bradford & Marzec’s team-based investment decision process, utilised for 32 years through numerous business and economic cycles, and the core investment team remain the same. Employees and firm management now collectively own approximately 37 per cent, with the remainder owned by Tortoise Investments. Founders Ted Bradford and Zelda Marzec exited their equity positions and remain employees to ensure a smooth transition.

Hyphen Solutions has secured an investment from PWP Growth Equity, a private equity fund managed by Perella Weinberg Partners that invests in leading, growth-oriented, lower middle market companies. Terms of the investment have not been disclosed.
The partnership with PWP Growth Equity will allow Hyphen to accelerate its investment in its people, systems and processes, and will enable the Company to add new customers and software products. As part of this transaction, Felix Vasquez, President and Chief Technology Officer of Hyphen, has been named Chief Executive Officer of the Company.

The Italian corporate and financial law firm Gattai Minoli Agostinelli & Partners has advised alternative investment management firm Investcorp on the acquisition of a majority stake in the Italian menswear manufacturer Corneliani.
The transaction was in the form of an acquisition of an equity stake from the Corneliani family and underwriting of a capital increase.
A team composed by partners Bruno Gattai and Gerardo Gabrielli, senior associate Michele Ventura and associates Maria Persichetti and Andrea Chiloiro advised on the M&A profiles of the transaction.

Forentis Fund, a USD50 million special purpose venture fund focused on biotechnology, has committed to provide USD7.5 million in funding to Blueprint Bio, the first of the company’s target portfolio companies to receive a funding commitment.

The European Investment Bank has agreed to provide GBP 12 million for investment by Newton Aycliffe based Gestamp Tallent Automotive. This will support new investment to strengthen innovation and development of specialised chassis and suspension products at the automative industry component manufacturer.

Carey Olsen's listing specialists have advised on the initial public offering (IPO) of Hadrian's Wall Secured Investments Limited on the London Stock Exchange (LSE) and its admission to the premium segment of the official list of the UK Listing Authority.
It is the first main market IPO of an investment company this year.
The initial placing has raised GBP80 million. The company will invest primarily in UK commercial loans secured by a range of assets including equipment, plant and machinery, real estate and trade receivables.

Private equity firm OpenGate Capital has signed an agreement with Emerald and PM & Partners, the shareholders and current debt holders, for the acquisition of Alfatherm, a manufacturer of rigid, semi-rigid and flexible PVC films.
The acquisition is expected to be complete in late June. Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
Alfatherm was established more than 50 years ago and is the fourth largest European PVC film manufacturer, focused on the production and sale of rigid, semi-rigid and flexible PVC foils that are used for various applications. The business operates three manufacturing sites in the Milan area and
