Century Park Capital Partners has completed its acquisition of Mikaway, a 105-year-old producer of Japanese pastries and specialty frozen desserts.  Mikawaya is credited as being the creator of mochi ice cream, a handheld and portion-controlled ball of premium ice cream enrobed in a soft and chewy, sweet rice cake. Mikawaya is the market’s largest producer of the Japanese specialty frozen dessert. The brand offers an exciting range of popular flavours including Asian-influenced flavours like green tea and mango, as well as more traditional favourites like kona coffee, cookies and cream, mint chip, chocolate, strawberry, vanilla and others. Brookdale Care, a UK authority on autism, has been acquired by Tracscare, a provider of care and support for adults with challenging and complex needs.  Livingstone’s Healthcare sector team advised entrepreneur Michael McInerney, who founded Brookdale in 2002. Established in 1983, Tracscare provides support and care for adults with complex needs associated with acquired brain injuries, Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD), mental health illnesses and both learning and physical disabilities. BeneStream has raised USD4.26 million a a series A funding round with commitments from health insurance industry investors and existing investors. The Lyxor Hedge Fund Index was down -1.9 per cent in June. None of the 12 Lyxor Indices ended the month in positive territory. The Lyxor Fixed Income Arbitrage Index (0 per cent), the Lyxor Convertible Arbitrage Index (-0.1 per cent), and the Lyxor Variable Bias Index (-0.8 per cent) were the best performers. Private Advisors has closed its sixth dedicated small company private equity fund, Private Advisors Small Company Private Equity Fund VI with USD350 million in total commitments, exceeding its target of USD 250 million.
