Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP) has agreed to acquire the principal holdings of Competitive Power Ventures (CPV).  The transaction includes equity interests in a portfolio of power generation projects, as well as CPV's development and asset management platforms. CPV's management team will continue to lead the business and develop value-added investment opportunities in the US power sector. The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of 2015. Aberdeen Asset Management is to purchase SVG Capital plc’s stake in their joint venture vehicle, Aberdeen SVG Private Equity Managers Limited (Aberdeen SVG Private Equity) for GBP29 million. The Consumer sector team at Livingstone has advised JacTravel, a leading B2B hotel accommodation wholesaler and provider of inbound travel services, on the acquisition of TotalStay Group.  The transaction was supported by Vitruvian Partners, JacTravel’s existing institutional shareholder. The enlarged group will benefit from greater scale in the accommodation market, achieving an annual combined turnover significantly in excess of £360 million, and direct contractual relationships with over 14,000 independent and chain hotel partners in 800 cities globally.  Greater scale is expected to accelerate growth in both companies, which have been growing at around 20% per annum in recent years.  Terry

HIG European Capital Partners (HIG Europe) has acquired Monal Group through its Spanish-based portfolio company Tres60 Servicios Audiovisuales.  The acquisition, which will result in the creation of an entity generating sales of nearly 100 million euros, was successfully executed by the French and Spanish offices of HIG Europe, supported by Monal Group’s management team and by its founding shareholder, Denis Auboyer. Ashurst has advised Recover Nordic, a portfolio company of the pan-European mid-market private equity firm Agilitas, on the acquisition of Relita Industri och Skadeservice (Relita), a provider of damage control services in Sweden. Recover Nordic, which was acquired by Agilitas in 2013, is the largest emergency response and damage control business in the Nordic region that mainly provides water and fire damage recovery services.  Prior to this transaction the business had operations in Denmark, Norway and Finland, and Relita will now give the group coverage in Sweden. Amplience has closed of a USD10.5 million Series B funding round led by Octopus Investments, with participation from existing stakeholders and investors including Northstar Ventures and Silicon Valley Bank.
