Oppenheimer Europe, the London-based arm of Oppenheimer & Co, is acting as joint adviser to Unit4 NV on the recommended cash offer by Advent International.
The offer values Unit4 at approximately EUR1.3bn.
Unit4 is a cloud-focused business software company aimed at helping public sector and commercial services organisations to embrace change simply, quickly and cost effectively in a market sector it calls Businesses Living IN Change (BLINC).

Law firm Eversheds has advised workforce payment solutions provider FleetCor Technologies on the acquisition of Epyx, a technology solutions provider to the fleet sector, from HgCapital.
Epyx provides an internet based system and vehicle repair network to fleet operators in the UK. The company services approximately 9000 garages and automates vehicle maintenance and repair needs.
The acquisition strengthens FleetCor’s product offering in the fleet sector, enabling the company to expand its services from fleet fuelling to fleet maintenance.

Funds managed by The Carlyle Group are to acquire a controlling equity stake in Edgewood Partners Insurance Center (EPIC), a retail insurance broker headquartered in California.
Carlyle's investment will enable EPIC to continue to execute its organic growth strategy and support strategic acquisitions of complementary insurance distribution platforms throughout the US.

Wealthcare Capital Management is to be acquired by NewSpring Holdings, a private equity investment company located in Radnor, Pennsylvania.
Wealthcare, a provider of goals-based wealth management technology and advisory services, will run as a standalone company out of its existing headquarters in Richmond, Virginia.
In its partnership with NewSpring, Wealthcare will retain its core group of employees dedicated to advisor relations, its operating and service structure, and its goals-based financial planning and wealth management services for advisors and their clients.

Private equity investor Bunker Hill Capital has acquired Hubbardton Forge, a Vermont-based designer and manufacturer of branded hand-forged premium lighting fixtures.
Hubbardton Forge focuses on the premium segment of the lighting fixture industry with products sold in the US and internationally through a network of over 1,300 accounts serving the residential and commercial markets.

Private equity firm Liberty Hall Capital Partners has acquired Precise Machining & Manufacturing, a supplier of highly engineered machined parts, kits and assemblies, and processing services to the global aerospace industry.
Precise will serve as the foundational asset of Accurus Aerospace Corporation, which has been formed by Liberty Hall to become a fully integrated, highly diversified Tier II aerostructures supplier through a combination of strategic investments and additional strategic acquisitions.
Liberty Hall's investment partners in the transaction are Hamilton Lane and other institutional investors. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Private equity firm Mill City Capital has completed the “going private” acquisition of Bonnett’s Energy Corp, an oil field services company based in Alberta, Canada.
Bonnett's Energy Corp, founded in 1972, serves customers throughout the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin, operating a modern fleet of equipment with 11 locations throughout Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan.
Bonnett’s offers its customers critical well services including wireline, production testing, fishing, swabbing and well stimulation services. Bonnett’s existing management team, led by Murray Toews, chief executive officer, and Troy Tews, chief operating officer, will continue under Mill City’s ownership.

Genova, founded in 1986, is a specialty clinical laboratory that has pioneered a unique, systems-based approach to testing that supports the personalised diagnosis, treatment and prevention of chronic disease.
The company offers more than 125 specialised diagnostic assessments that cover digestive, metabolic, immunology, endocrinology and other physiological areas. It currently serves more than 10,000 primary care physicians, specialists and other healthcare providers.

Boutique institutional asset manager Unigestion has invested in the Armstrong South East Asia Clean Energy Fund which invests in small scale renewable energy and resource efficiency projects in South East Asia.
The investment, through the Unigestion-Ethos Environmental Sustainability Fund, will provide investors with exposure to opportunities in the clean energy sector in South East Asia’s emerging markets.
