Main Street Capital has closed a new portfolio investment totalling USD7m of invested capital in Garreco.
Main Street’s investment in Garreco consists of USD5.8m in first lien, senior secured term debt and a USD1.2m direct equity investment.

Private equity firm Insight Venture Partners is to make a significant investment in Anaqua, a provider of intellectual asset management (IAM) services and SaaS software.
The terms of the agreement, which include the buyout of Anaqua’s existing investors, have not been disclosed.
As part of the transaction, Jeff Horing and Alex Crisses, managing directors at Insight, will join Anaqua’s board of directors.

Middle market private equity firm GI Partners has acquired One Wilshire, a downtown Los Angeles network facility and data centre. In addition, the firm acquired three fully leased corporate office properties in El Segundo, California.
The acquisition was made through TechCore, a USD1bn discretionary core real estate fund managed by GI Partners on behalf of the California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS).

Headquartered in Alachua, Florida, RTI specialises in orthopaedic and other biologic implants.
Water Street has invested a USD50m private placement of convertible preferred equity to support RTI with acquiring Pioneer Surgical Technology. The acquisition transforms RTI into one of the world’s leading providers of surgical implants.

In the first half of 2013, 17 Israeli private equity deals attracted USD939m, a decrease of 48 per cent from USD1.8bn attracted in 26 deals in H1/2012, according to the latest quarterly survey by IVC and GKH.
