Georgian and Lightspeed have led a USD135 million Series C funding round in API security company Noname Security at a valuation of USD1 billion.
Buy and build social care investment group, Tristone Healthcare, has received GBP20 million of funding from Duke Royalty to support its long-term growth ambitions.  The capital will be used to refinance Tristone’s existing facilities, as well as supporting current investments and future acquisitions.      Through its innovative royalty financing, capital partners Duke Royalty support strong management teams with a strong track record of successful operations and healthy revenues. As a minority investor, Duke Capital’s model allows business owners to retain control and focus on growth.
Private equity firm Dubin Clark’s holding company Super Home Services (SHS), has acquired SWAT Mosquito Systems (SWAT). Financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed. Founded in 2006 and headquartered in Miramar, Florida, SWAT is a full-service provider of permanent automated mosquito misting systems for residential homes in South Florida.    In July 2021, Dubin Clark formed SHS to partner with leading companies to provide a concierge in-home service solution throughout the Southeastern United States. SHS previously acquired Evergreen Lawn & Pest Control, Inc in July 2021 and an HVAC company in September 2021.
MetOx Technologies, a Houston-based manufacturer of high temperature superconducting (HTS) wire, has closed a USD23 million Series A funding round led by Sfar Partners, an investor focused on innovations in the cleantech and material science, artificial intelligence and information technology, and life sciences areas.
An affiliate of Peak Rock Capital (Peak Rock), a middle-market private investment firm, has closed it sale of snack manufacturer Pretzels, Inc (Pretzels) to The Hershey Company (Hershey). An affiliate of Peak Rock acquired Pretzels in 2018 from the founding families. During Peak Rock’s ownership, Pretzels embarked on a variety of transformational growth and operational initiatives.
Brightstar Capital Partners (Brightstar), a private equity firm focused on partnering with families, founders, entrepreneurs, and management teams, is to acquire Novae Corp (Novae), in partnership with the Company’s founder and senior management team.   Novae’s Founder and CEO Steve Bermes, and President and COO Chris Storie will continue to lead the Company and retain significant ownership stakes. Novae a North American trailer manufacturer operating six distinct brands: Sure-Trac, H&H Trailers, CAM Superline, Trailerman, ITI Cargo and Midsota. 
Esme Learning Solutions, a specialist in online professional development has secured a further USD15 million in new funding to support the edtech company’s rapid global expansion.  Previous investors, Adit Ventures are committing a further USD10 million with leading edtech solution providers, ThriveDX making a strategic investment of USD5 million.  The funding round follows Esme Learning Solutions’ acquisition of AI collaboration platform Riff Analytics earlier in the year.
RiverNorth Capital Management has acquired a minority stake in TrueMark Investments, an Illinois-based asset manager and Advisor to the TrueShares actively managed ETFs. The two firms will work jointly to develop a suite of ETFs under the RiverNorth brand, complementing its existing fund line-up which currently includes mutual funds, closed-end funds, private funds, SMAs, and soon to be ETFs. TrueMark’s capabilities will serve as an expansion of RiverNorth’s existing strengths in delivering opportunistic investment strategies to investors through a variety of investment vehicles. 
BC Partners Credit, the credit arm of BC Partners, has held the final closing of Special Opportunities Fund II (SOF II). The Fund was oversubscribed at USD1.2 billion relative to its USD750 million target. BC Partners secured broad support from a diverse group of global investors and SOF II benefitted from strong demand from both existing and new LPs, with 100 per cent of institutional investors in SOF II’s predecessor fund renewing their commitment.
Cloud security
Permira’s growth fund has led a USD350 million Series G funding round in Sysdig, Inc, a unified container and cloud security specialist, at a valuation of USD2.5 billion. The round brings total funding to USD744 million and sees the company’s valuation more than double in eight months.
